This appears to be a recurring question in several threads - which surely must indicate that the alarm user-interface is still in need of some attention (separate to the issues of server connectivity when an alarm fires, WOL etc etc) I quite like all the suggestions about allowing an alarm to (optionally) fire into "now playing" mode rather than alarm mode. Fine. And allowing each alarm to have its own timeout, yes cool. And a config setting to disable the option to snooze, if you must.
But fundementally, the alarm menu itself is so annoying and unneccessary. * Can't easily see the time as its so small - could easily be solved with alarm screensaver * The two choices (snooze, stop) really should use distinct buttons to avoid user error in a dark, semi-conscious state. Does anyone feel that the alarm MENU is a good approach ? Can't just be me. Is anyone against the idea of removing it in preference to distinct buttons ? (using existing buttons, not a talking about new hardware!) You know the old addage, "keep it simple stupid". The current alarm UI just doesn't quite feel like it's user-friendly yet. -- squishy ------------------------------------------------------------------------ squishy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35390 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73211 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
