I have a very similar observation. When the problem started, I asked my
neighbor if he changed his Wifi set-up and he installed a WiFi extender.
We coordinated channels and he is using a different channel. That
helped somewhat. However, two of the Radios will disconnect at random
times. A third Radio very close to my router and furthest away from his
house does not have the problem.

When I take the suspect Radios to my office, no problems. I have
concluded it is interference with these Wifi extender mesh networks.
I asked him if he goes away for a period of time to turn off the wifi
extender to confirm it is the problem; I offered to buy him a
replacement. If that does not work, I will probably get a Wifi to
ethernet bridge.
