Myron Is the application file in the same directory as the database? I'd try move the new database and a COPY of the old database and application to a new directory. Then open the application, change teh database name and save. Then delete the old database copy - does that work?

That is the way it is in the doc's. However, I did try your way and the reload worked. However, I still can't 'design' the app in the new folder (I moved the app over). I'm still getting an error message, a new one, -ERROR- Unable to connect the requested database CNUMB (7). CNUMB is a column in a table. I'll let everyone know how I make out. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:owner-rbase-l@;sonetmail.com] On Behalf Of Albert Berry Sent: Saturday, October 26, 2002 3:18 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: Renaming a Database and Application Myron, did you type the forward slash? or only here in the list. The forward slash will give R:Base indigestion. R>reload d:\backup\asdf will work as long as the directory backup exists, and there is enough room allocated for the database.
