Myron, It sounds to me like your app has the path as well as the db name somewhere in it.
Try this: Open the .app file with an editor, WordPad or NotePad will do, and search for the CONNect command. You should find it once (at least). If - in every case - it contains only the db name, ie: "CONNect dbName" then this is not your problem. However, if it contains, for example, "CONNect \dbfiles\dbName" then wherever you copy your db to is going to have no effect. If this is the problem then let the list know and someone will be able to tell you how to sort it out. It is easy enough to edit the .app file but you would then lose the ability to use Application Express which I gather you want to use. (It's Sunday afternoon and my thinking cap is hung up for the weekend!!) Close WordPad or NotePad or whatever you use _without_ saving the file!
