To Expand on Gunnar's statement. When you change OSes, it is always prudent to do an Installation over an upgrade. If your old OS has the sniffles, the new one will inherit them. If you are Ever having problems from a W2k installation, it would be 95% probability that it is hardware incompatibility issues. Even though you can frequently get away with an install without consulting the published HCL. Hardware Compatibility List: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;131303 It just means the hardware is compatible, but hasn't been tested and affirmed as compatible by Microsoft.
