I expect the Joe will ride a lot like a Sam. It will have all the benefits
of wider tires. I expect it to ride "Like a Rivendell".

Regarding the numerous people who want a frameset. I understand,
completely. I have all the parts to pull together two or three builds,
also. But think about it. If there was ever going to be a hypothetical
Joe Appaloosa frameset, we'd expect the price to be higher than that of the
Hillborne ($1300). On top of that add the new crown, the longer stays.
Add that they are a smaller volume order, and are physically quite a bit
bigger and cost more to ship. What do you think retail would be? Probably
between $1500 and $1700. Then, many of you would want the super cool
Choco-Bosco handlebar. Every previous Nitto Bullmoose Variant has been
$150-$160. You quickly get to a frameset + handlebar that may cost nearly
$1900, and here you have the chance to buy the whole bike for $2100. It's
kind of difficult to pass up. The Riv crankset is not cheap, take a guess
and price it at $180. Those Sun Race shifters are $65 for a pair. The
Silver hubset is $110. That presale price starts to look like free money
when you think about it. It's really a very nice deal at $2100, in my
opinion.
