It's mentioned somewhere where Grant was saying he would hike more cool places if he didn't hate driving to them. And if I "knew all this" I wouldn't be asking, now would I? I know the general stuff about food and water, but know nothing about correct shoes and hiking sticks and whatnot. And I wouldn't have thought of bear mace.
