Hey all, I have a friend in the market for a new bike. She had an upright, step through, fendered, chain cased, one speed, "mama-san" bike she bought in Tokyo. She wants a "lighter" bike with some gears. I think she's going to want 26" wide tires, fenders, step through frame, upright bars, and rear derailur or or 5 or 7 speed igh, Though I think she would be well served by a Clem L I'm not sure she will go for that price point (I think her old bike cost a few hundred $$ new). Can anybody suggest a bike shop or two in the SF east bay (friend is in Fremont, I'm in Pleasanton) that serves urban/suburban commuter type riders?
