I just did a little informal messing around, doing some totally empty loops and there appears to be a slight penalty for declaring the integer in the loop like that. I was just counting from 1 to 100000 and averaging the microseconds from 100 loops and without exception the "for i as integer =" was slightly slower than pre-declaring the integer. So you might try experimenting with that. I'm always suspicious of the "new" way of doing things so that struck me right away as a potential issue. The average was about 100 microseconds difference, some being as much as 300, so it's not going to explain everything, but helps with optimization a little bit. -James _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html>
