Nope, Adobe hasn't said they are going to prevent flv streaming, but
also check this out:

"Can you use the Sound class to play back AAC/.mp4a files? No, you
have to use the NetStream class.

My guess is that we will enhance the Sound class in the future but it
might go into a different direction and will not be dedicated to pure
playback of static files anymore."

He's also talking about sound improvements but they would eventually
come via the NetStream class. Therefore, license required.

And even if flvs are ok, we wouldn't be able to take advantage of the
benefits mp4 is going to bring. Previously, offering the same quality
as FMS was just a technical problem. From now onwards it's not, it's
just a matter of how much you pay.

I agree with Yeng. Now more than ever we have to support GNash.
