NT does not matter enough to me to require defending. Had it been
something else, my objection would have been much the same. However,
those who are guilty of this excess are hardly likely to recognize or
admit it, so I shall be pleased to let the matter lie. Other than to
ask what motivates your use of "any slight", "real or imagined", and
"virtual death". Pretty lurid stuff, that.
