Hello, I received an e-mail with big attachments (arount 25 MB) in the IMAP server this morning, and I tried to open it using Kmail (using IMAP protocol). After opening it and saving the attachment locally, I deleted the mail. I noticed when kmail tried to download/open the mail, it was slow, but I think it was OK considering the size. When deleting it, it was really slow and almost grind my machine to a halt. My processor is Athlon 1600 Mhz with 256 MB ram. But that's not the real problem I think. I then managed to switch to TTY 3 and do "top". Kmail uses about 9% CPU and 30% memory when deleting that mail.
However, when I then get messages that some processes were being killed. After it all back to normal, I checked my /var/log/messages and got the message like below.
