Greetings. Though I am extremely pleased to have joined this group, I have to say that I am a bit concerned about a post I've recently received.
This email account that I've joined this Red Hat group with has been used for years, and I've never once received any kind of SPAM or other nonsense to it. But the only *NEW* activity this account has received lately has been since I joined this group. And now, suddenly, I've begun receiving the standard fare of lame requests for African Banking assistance, homeless naked twins needing a foster home, offers of free Viagra, etc... (the last of which may come in quite handy in another twenty years, or so. But for now, no thanks.) :-) I don't mean to take up the group's time winging about SPAM that my ISP will gladly block for me. I just wanted to make the folks here aware that someone may well be using the group's membership posts to pull down email addresses to add to their own hateful activities. Could just be a one-in-a-million coincidence. But all things considered, the odds are just too great against it. Sorry for the brief side-track. Just wanted to make those who might need to know, aware.
