You only need to open up port 25 if you're receiving e-mail.  You don't
need it to send.  The default sendmail configuration on Red Hat Linux is
to allow outgoing e-mail only (the release notes tell you how to enable
incoming e-mail).  Open up port 110 only to allow outsiders to pull
their e-mail via pop.

For a webserver, you may not need to open up port 25 at all, and ditto
for port 110.
