Hello-

Im new to setting up sendmail (relatively). I tried it on my
Solaris box so Im a *little* familiar with it all.

My question is, is it better to use the Redhat RPM's for sendmail
and just setup the config's or is it better to download the sendmail
suite from www.sendmail.org and go from there?

Secondly..I saw some postings on google talking about never ever opening
up port 25 and just using port 110 (pop3). I want to setup a web server
and sendmail on it. I Need port 25, correct? If I want to email anyone
that is ;) And 110 to get it (fetchmail or whatever).

I looked at the howto page for sendmail but its WAY out of date.
Anything current would be appreciated.

Not related, but Im using RH 7.3
Do you recommend updating to RH 9.0 ?? Im afraid to ruin a good thing
cuz when I went to 8.x last time I had so many problems I gave up.

TIA
Jeff
