[snip] Res gave you some very good tips and instructions, but I'd like to suggest one small (but very important) piece of advice. Invest a few bucks in a good Linux/Server/Administration book. If you don't understand the services you're attempting to run, you really shouldn't be connecting them to the internet. That's not to say that you don't have the right to... but as a fellow Internet user and responsible administrator, I'd ask that you pay the rest of us the same respect. The last thing we all need is another open relay for spammers or exploitable sendmail/imap/pop server. If you need some suggestions on documentation, please don't hesitate to ask.
