Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try. Time for bed now so it'll have to wait for a day or two. I'm just trying to learn about linux and how to make it work for you. I've got it on 3 computers all dualbooted with win98 and all networked together. It's like a puzzle, kind of gets under your skin and makes you want to know the answers.
