I agree with Ray, the feeling of disgust is wide spread. Selling of tickets may indeed be impacted. But first, we need to see what happens in next couple months. We need GM, Manager, and some large, gutsy off season moves.
I'm not sure how we keep Lackey and Beckett after this meltdown. Is the new GM/Manager going to have the guts to not sign Ortiz for crazy $? How do we sign Elsbury? Do we want to? How do we sign Paps? Especially given that Bard didn't rise in the later part of the season. How the off season trades/signings go will go a long way to either re-enforcing my disgust or getting me back on the bus. Right now I'm off the bus. I don't see how I spend $200+ for a day at the park x 4-5 times over a year after this season's betrayal. That's a lot of money to invest in a loser. Dumping good money after bad. And that was what it feels like now. Betrayal. In other seasons where we've had failures, it felt different in that we all were in the same boat - players, managers, and fans. That we all were disappointed. Now, it's just us the fans.
