The commercial land mobile industry has great interest in understanding the operational characteristics of all of the current and emerging formats and protocols, including how each performs in the real world - on its own and while sharing the spectrum with other systems of the same or different formats. Consequently, for a number of years, the TIA [Telecommunications Industry Association] has had a working group studying the technology and developing standards and industry guidance documentation.
