This is a good point. I realize that neither solution is perfect
(downgrade and you get the bugs that the version fixed, stay the same
and you get the bug that this version introduced). We have the fix, but
the packages need to go through QA testing before they are released.
If you have a Red Hat subscription there are two other options:
* Get the beta package from RHN
* Contact support for more options (http://support.redhat.com)
If you don't have a subscription, I can see about getting the patch
posted the BZ so you can grab it and build a package. Would that help?
