I ripped 1,836 cds in 8 days between Christmas and New Years using EAC/Flac Front End (I had 14 drives going on 5 computers). Once you get EAC configured it is an excellent ripper...I really couldn't be happier. I am a fan of Ipod and Itunes but the thought of ripping my music collection in a corporate proprietary format seemed risky and limiting (the fact that I couldnt play my Itunes purchased music on SB2 really pissed me off). You are going to invest a lot of time ripping your collection...go with open source formats...FLAC/MP3 ftw!
-hal ps I spent another 10 - 15 hours editing tags once I was finished....highly recommend Media Monkey for tag editing. pss my 1,836 albums took up 592gb of space. -- hal9000 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ hal9000's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=983 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20066 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
