Jbart, The AudioEngine 2s are more than sufficent for our kitchen/dinning room. It is an L shaped room about 5m down each leg and about 3.5m across, I have the speakers on a shelf high up on the corner of the L. Gives a great sound, although the stereo imaging isn't perfect, but when you are cooking and eating IMHO that is not important, mostly used for background music.
