I have noticed the odd audible glitch in some of my rips at times. Yesterday I was listening to one of my ripped cd's and noticed a glitch. The original cd sounded fine. I re-ripped the offending track and the glitch was still there. Originally I had used EAC to rip but I am now using Plextools Pro. In both cases there were no erros.
Now, here's the strange part. I decided to go ahead and clean the cd even though there were no errors reported by either program (both programs were set up to detect and fix errors)and the cd itself had only been played a few times and looked pretty clean to me. And, interestingly, the gltich was now gone. So, now I am confused. If neither program reported any errors but cleaning the cd got rid of one or two glitches what is going on? I was not aware of any issues with either program, but with Plextools Pro particularly, "not" finding errors. I always thought "fixing" errors was the issue, not "finding" them.
