The glitch was gone once I cleaned the cd and re-ripped.  That's the
whole point of my original post.  Pre-cleaning, I ripped the cd
"twice", once with EAC and the other with Plextools.  In both cases no
errors were detected at all yet there was a glitch in the audio.  After
cleaning and re-ripping, no glitch.  I am trying to understand how this
happened since the original rips should have sounded the same as the
ones done after cleaning since in both cases no errors were reported,
the drive never slowed down to re-read a section of the cd etc....
