i assume u don't hear it just playing the CD?

if two pgms find the same glitch in the same spot and report it as
accurate, perhaps the glitch exists on all such CDs of that one?

and if so, perhaps the glitch is only perceived when trying to
accurately rip it?  EAC has a fast mode and a burst mode, and sometimes
those modes will rip a copy that doesn't have audible, or as audible
glitches on my damaged CDs.  a regular CD player would be closer to
those modes.
