As I posted in the Meridian thread, I too have tried this set of codes and get no success. Has been a waste of time it seems.
w.r.t. whether it is actually working or not (if you get passed the white noise/static results)....my take on this is that you should be able to see HDCD.exe running in task manager in the same way you can see flac.exe running if you streams flacs as .wav. Properly decoded HDCD shouldn't show up as 20 bit if I understand correctly. That mau be why they didn't play. All my HDCD's convert to 24bit and play fine.
