I have not used dbpoweramps HDCD conversion.  If I use the hdcd.exe to
convert the files beforehand I end up with 24bit files and they play
fine.  I believe the hdcd.exe puts out 24bit files rather than 20bit
files merely for playback compatability reasons.

So, my pre-converted HDCD's play fine.  But, I would still like to
experiement with on the fly decoding.
