SqueezeCenter will normally detect different artists on an album and assume the album is a compilation for you.
COMPILATION only NEEDS to be set to 1 if: a) you have an ALBUMARTIST to represent "Various Artists" on an album. The presence of an ALBUMARTIST tag means that an album isn't considered to be a compilation unless you tell SC otherwise. b) you have songs spread over multiple source folders (eg. a folder for each artist, or a folder for each disk in a multi-disk compilation). COMPILATION may only NEED to be set to 0 in some unusual fringe cases, of which I've never been totally sure of. eg. Possibly if you have several non-compilation albums located in one folder. Setting COMPILATION=0 when an album has different artists and no ALBUMARTIST tag is present is likely to lead to errors (e.g. who to list the album under in the Browse Artists menu, or who to sort the album under when Browsing Albums sorted by Artist). _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
