You would normally set either a COMPILATION or a ALBUMARTIST tag to tell SqueezeCenter how to treat an album where not all songs are performed by the same artist. If you just have ALBUMARTIST=Crosby, Stills & Nash, you will be able to browse to that artist and see the album. If you added COMPILATION=1, I think the album would appear under Browse Artists > Various Artists.
