no, i don't recall you saying that... if i knew thats what u thought, i would have set the record straight, and its this: winamp does not, in any way, use TPE2 to mean anything OTHER THAN "album artist." winamp has NO notion or comprehension of comps at all. it doesn't support comp tags, or attempt to identify comps. it does NOTHING along those lines. WinAmp is most definitely broken. if your misunderstanding is my fault, i apologize, i did not mean to mislead you, but winamp has nothing, no application at all, of comps. what is true, is i did ask winamp to support the TCMP tag, so i could use it to edit the frame, and that request is now officially recognized in the public wishlist, but i have no idea if they intend for it to mean anything more than that, tho if they do, it will be optional. also, gracenote (cddb) does put the string "Various Artists" in the TPE2 field, but that again is not indicating to winamp that something is a comp, its just another string.
