Yep, I did have sound check ticked off but I didnt have "keep itunes
music folder organized".  I went ahead and unticked sound check.

How exactly do you remove the itunes sound check tags using mp3tag?

yes! I do have a backup.  Its a weekly backup that only backs up the
files if they've changed since the last back up.  I was able to go back
a couple of backup levels to restore my library.  But I must have missed
some. Some files still have the replay gain messed up.  

What's weird is that sqzctr will read it with a volume adjustment of
-12.04 where everything else shows - 3.1, including Itunes!!!

I tried clearing & rescanning several times but it doesnt seem to fix
the file info from within sc.
