but you argued SBS wasn't guessing, how can you say it is now? and actually, what i said had nothing to do with comp tags. it was rather that the VA logic paradigm was fundamentally flawed b/c it was making conclusive presumptions on a given set of data scenarios that often didn't reflect the reality of the situation. Why should it > guess differently? b/c thats not the case. i'm not going to repeat myself, but in one, narrow, limited case where some tracks have NO tag info and some others have narrow specific info, it makes sense to. i went over this already in painstakig detail earlier in the thread. Instead they get listed in a different grouping. not true. some apps ignore the Disc tag for grouping purposes. It's correctly doing > nothing. wrong. whether you want to admit it or not, there is a confirmed bug here. i'll repeat it for you: if you have a12 track album, and all the tracks have Disc=<blank> EXCEPT track 10, which has Disc=1/1 then SBS does not do what you [and i] seem to think it would do. we'd think it would put all the tracks except 10 in one album, and 10 in the other album. but it doesn't do that. it puts 11 and 12 in with ten. that is a bug. it is incorrectly assuming 11 and 12 go with 10, and not with the other 9 with which they share the same <blank> value. -- MrSinatra www.lion-radio.org using: sb2 & sbc (my home) / sbr (parent's home) - sbs 7.4.2b - win xp pro sp3 ie8 - p4(ht) 3.2ghz / 2gig ram - 1tb wd usb2 raid1 - d-link dir-655 - 35k mp3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MrSinatra's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2336 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=70494 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
