Thinking about the debugsourcefiles.list file specifically: it being placed in
`%{builddir}/%{?buildsubdir}` instead of `%{builddir}` might actually be
considered a bug. The point of #2078 was to have a place *for* RPM itself to
store build artifacts in, and debugsourcefiles.list certainly qualifies as such.
But then, the file is used with `%files -f` and that operates from
`%buildsubdir`...
