That is the assumption that a lot of people here are operating with.

The question is whether we write that down.

I think we can say that it's an RPC decision but that MathML is a strong 
candidate.

Agreed, but again it can be cited as a strong candidate. As far as I can tell 
it is by a large margin the solution most widely used by mathematicians and 
scientists (and has been since the 1980s).


I think that both will happen no matter what we say.  Which would be a good 
thing.  I'm interested whether anyone here thinks otherwise.
