Hi Bob, It helps the apperance of curves if one build the layout
high. Looking more from the side rather than the top makes it harder
to see how sharp the curves really are. I've got a small O scale
layout with 46 inch curves , it's built 55 inches above the floor and
looks OK from that viewing height but if I stand on a ladder and view
it from a higher level the curves look very sharp.....dave
