Pieter, Captive service is a good example, we had a small fleet of ACF covered hoppers running in and out of Sparks, not as often as example but often enough I could recognize the same cars.
As for 3-5 car should be enough, that shoots down my need a dozen hoppers when the industry can only take one or two. VBG Large car fleets shouldn't be a problem when we collect so much we talk about storing them. Really how many cars are too many? I say we never have enough. Clearly part of the issue deals with how far the trip between the source and destination is, and where else the car might go in between (sometimes the car is in captive or defacto captive service and just shuttles back and forth). > > Secondly, how often do you operate? Assuming you don't run with the same crew every day (real time); how likely are the operator's to really notice that they delivered this same boxcar to this customer last week (when it's really been several weeks or months). Reasonably alternating among several (3-5) cars of the correct type should provide enough variety. > > Pieter Roos > ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
