Hey y'all,

With all the talk about American Models being the Athearn Blue Box equivalent 
and the need to introduce new modelers to S scale, I'm wondering how many folks 
on this list got their start in S scale model railroading?  I'm particularly 
interested in the responses of those who have operating S scale layouts.  And 
what I mean is that the first SCALE model train you bought was 1:64 proportions 
(Flyer as a kid doesn't count).

My guess is that S scale was a secondary scale modeling choice for many of us.  
If that's the case, shouldn't our product lines appeal more to the experienced 
modeler than the newbie?
