Hi Ed, I've used Kadees in all the available scales and have found the S
version to be my favorite as it comes with a nice little selection of screws.
The new HO whisker couplers are also sweet and the whisker style with closer
to scale size could someday be an improvement for S I guess but overall I think
anyone coming from the other scales will have no problems with the Kadees. I've
never yet found a car that I couldn't figure out how to mount them on so can't
add anything to that part of the discussion. As for uncoupling I cut off the
trip pins and use a screw driver or other pointy object and uncouple anywhere I
