If you don't want to wait that long, just use: http://femhub.org/ e.g.: $ wget http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/ondrej/scratch/femhub/femhub-0.9.3.tar $ tar xf femhub-0.9.3.tar $ cd femhub-0.9.3 $ make and wait about 30 min on bsd.math.
