I don't recall finding it manual labor intensive, and for a while I was 
doing quite a bit w/Nathann on MILP. As I recall, I had bigger problems 
trying to write code Nathann liked, and trying to explain my needs, than I 
did with applying the patches. And that was *with* Cython recompilations.
