In that part of Savane, there are still dirty hacks for Savannah, not activated on others hosts. It should be possible everywhere. It just requires you to get a script to be run on the mail server, and to set mysql to accept incoming connections from this server. But, sure, it takes cooperative sysadmin that, at least, allows you to access the mail server, in order to install the script and the Savane perl library, since the script rely on it. Apart from that, there is still the possibility of grabbing an old package of mailman, say the one shipped with Debian woody.
