Re: Get categoryids of one keywords

2018-08-24 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

Could you confirm if what you meant by categoryId was this
CategoryProductsAndServicesSearchParameter

 type?
If yes, according to the link provided, it only supports RequestType.IDEAS.
However, this does seem to work on your end. To further investigate this,
could you provide the complete SOAP request and response logs when the
service call was executed? You may respond via *Reply privately to author*.

Hi Rodrigo,

For releases of new Google Ads API versions, you may follow our blog
 to keep up

AdWords API, you can regularly check out this guide
 for updates.
Unfortunately, we cannot give a comment yet on when will the AdWords API be
completely deprecated. I hope this helps.

Re: Missing random campaign in campaign performance report

2018-08-22 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Patrik,

I have received the requested information privately. Upon investigation,
the campaign Id you mentioned is indeed a TrueView for Reach campaign
subtype. This type of campaign is currently not supported in the AdWords
API. This is the reason why it does not show in your reports.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Hi Suk Kim- Could you confirm if you are also encountering the same issue
as Patrik wherein some of your campaigns do not show on your reports? If
yes, this could be because some of your campaigns could have a campaign
subtype of TrueView for Reach as well. This is currently not supported in
the AdWords API.

If you have a different concern, could open a new thread for better
communication?

Hi Vlad,

Unfortunately, there is no exact report that can accommodate all of the
fields you requested as the API reports focuses on each entity level. If
you wish to retrieve Keyword level data, you could use the Keyword
Performance Report
,

while for Placement reports, you could use the Placement Performance Report
.

As for ad level data, you could use the Ad Performance Report

You may see the list of supported fields in the linked guides provided. For
the list of available report types that support the fields you mentioned,
you may refer to this guide

According to this documentation

it takes 6 to 12 hours for a user list to be populated with members.
However, sometimes it would take up to 48 hours for this to be completely

Re: Where to Find Daily Quota Used Thus Far

2018-08-20 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Charles,

AdWords API does not support the feature of a quota counter. I am afraid
that you have to implement this on your end. You could refer to the rate
limits
documentation
for further details.

As for the time of quota reset, it would depend on the scope of the rate
limit you encountered. If you have exceeded the number of operations
allowed per day for your assigned access level (basic access), then it
would take a day for it to reset. If you exceeded the rate limit of your
account, then it would depend on the error documentation provided for that
specific error retryAfterSeconds.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Re: Integrating multiple Ad Manager accounts with the custom website

2018-08-17 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

My apologies as our team is unaware of the Facebook feature that you
mentioned as this is already outside of our expertise. Regarding managing
accounts using the AdWords API, you can refer to this guide
 for
more information on what is available and what you can achieve. Basically,
once you have linked your accounts to a root MCC, you should be able to
manage all it sub-accounts as long as you have the appropriate OAuth2
credentials.

As for integrating the AdWords API to an existing website or third party
platform, I'm afraid that our team would not be able to provide further
support as this is already out of scope for us. If I may have misunderstood
your issue, feel free to write back and provide more context so I can
better assist you.

Re: Error when getting Ad Performance Report: "Problem sending data to report download server"

2018-08-16 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

There is a possibility that the report you are trying to generate contains
a large amount of data and is causing a timeout
.
It is advised to breakdown your report into smaller reports by adding more
predicates or by shortening the data range.

If this does not help solve your concern, could you provide me the complete
report
definitions

 you
used, including date information, clientCustomerIds and any error messages
that could help me investigate further? You may provide these information
via *Reply privately to author*.

你好!

我看到你会说中文,让我用中文回复。让我用以下信息回答您的问题。

1. 您可以使用Ad Performance Report

的DevicePreference

和Device

字段查看设备类型。但是,AdWords API不支持特定字段,例如IP地址和操作系统。

2. 您可以使用Click Performance Report

在点击级别检索特定广告( CreativeId

 )的统计信息。

如果这有帮助,请告诉我。

Re: Entity Not Found INVALID ID

2018-08-14 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

The error INVALID_ID

 is
encountered when you are referencing the ID of an entity from a different
account or the entity specified has already been removed. To see if the ad
group (2045191148) you are targeting is still existing, you could run the
AdGroupService.get()

 and
see if the ad group you are targeting is returned. If it is not returned
after running the service, it is most likely that the ad group Id you are
targeting to is from a different account.

However, to further investigate this, could you provide the complete SOAP
request and response logs with the clientCustomerId specified when you
encountered the error? You may provide the requested information via *Reply
privately to author*.

Re: API for get App ID of android and ios platform?

2018-08-13 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

Could you confirm if the appIds you are pertaining to are the ones already
targeted for a specific campaign or ad group? If so, retrieving of these
appId's are possible, however, you can only retrieve this on a certain
level (campaign level, ad group level etc.) at a time. You could use the
CampaignCriterionService.get()

 or
the AdGroupCriterionService.get()

 depending
on the level you wish to retrieve this. You just have to specify
MobileApplication.appId in the selector.

If you wish to retrieve the ones that are not yet targeted, I am afraid
this is not possible in the AdWords API.

Could you point me to the documentation you were referring to that

As for the partial failure concern, I would have to discuss this with the

Re: Adwords API limits

2018-08-07 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

The limits are normally associated to mutate operations only of the AdWords
API.

If you have further clarifications about Rate Limits, you may open a new
thread regarding your concern.

 Omri,

The System Limits documentation is located here:

 https://developers.google.com/ adwords / api / docs / appendix / Limits

You will not see any kind of rate limits there as the AdWords API rate
limits are dynamic. It is expected that all clients properly back off
if the current rate limit is exceeded. A RateExceededError is thrown
if a client exceeds the rate limit.

 Hope this answers your question.

Hi,

The error *Failed to refresh access token* appears when you did not refresh
your access token. Could you confirm if you have followed the steps in getting

If not, could you follow the guide and add the refresh token in your

Let me know how this goes.

Re: CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT with predicate Labels CONTAINS_ANY results in a 500 Internal Server Error

2018-08-07 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Jeff,

My apologies for the confusion that the documentation may have caused. This
documentation

 only
pertains that the Label can be used as filter. However, the values used to
filter the said field is done differently and is discussed more in details
in this guide

.

For your second concern, I have tried replicating the issue, however, I did
not encounter the same results with what you encountered. I was able to
encounter the error ERROR_GETTING_RESPONSE_FROM_BACKEND, since it
recognized my predicate as an invalid string filter. Could you confirm if
you are using the same AWQL statement as the one below?

"SELECT CampaignId, Cost, Labels, CampaignStatus, BudgetId, LabelIds FROM
CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT WHERE Labels CONTAINS_ANY ['Video']"

If yes, let me know if you still encounter the 500 error so I could
investigate this further.

Dannison

I can see from your screenshot that you are using Universal App Campaigns.
The AdWords API only support limited report types

 for
UACs as mentioned before. Unfortunately, Ad Assets report under UAC is not

It is only recommended to use the label Id for filtering.

Hi Gilbert,

You may refer to this guide

 on
reports that support UACs in the AdWords API. The fields you mentioned
should be readily available in the listed reports. Since you mentioned that
you wish to retrieve media reporting data, you might consider in using the
Campaign
Location Target Report

 as
it is the only report type available that has video related fields.

Re: Get all fields of accounts

2018-08-01 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Albert,

The AccountHierarchy class uses the ManagedCustomerService
.

This service does not return any account statistics. If you wish to
retrieve statistics, you could download reports using the provided report
types supported in the API in this link
. You may
read more on our reporting basics
 on how to
download your own report. Since it seems that you wish to download reports
on an account level, I would suggest you to download the Account
Performance Report

.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Re: Are labels supported for negatives?

2018-08-01 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Markus,

Upon investigation, we are still not able to add labels in negatives even
when the criterion is newly created via the API, which seems to be an
expected behavior. Since you mentioned that labels worked on your end when
negatives are newly created via the API, could you provide the complete
SOAP request and response logs generated of your service call via *Reply
privately to author *so I could investigate on this further?

I cannot provide a comment whether or not this will be supported. However,
you may keep an eye on our blog

Re: Retention of data in adwords

2018-07-31 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Tirtha,

There is no specific retention policy for AdWords data, you should be able
to retrieve information since day one when your ads started serving.
However, do take note of timeouts
 when
downloading reports, so in order to avoid this, we recommend that you
breakdown your reports by using predicates or narrowing down the date range.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

You should be able to determine if you still have standard access by

 from there.

For your other issue, since you are using the TargetingIdeaService
 ,

you may note that this is a more expensive service to call as compared to
the other services of the AdWords API. The rate limits for this service
 are
significantly more strict than for other services that can be used for
managing campaigns. The rate limits can vary based on time of day, overall
volume of API usage by all users, and other factors. Our team does not
publish specific allowable QPS numbers to allow for this variance, and
instead use rate limit errors and require that integrations against the
 API
adhere to the timeouts as they encounter rate limit errors.

Re: ~3x discrepancy between TrafficEstimatorService and Keyword Planner (Not using a test account)

2018-07-31 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Sebastian,

Upon investigation, I have noticed that some of the parameters applied in
your AdWords UI request were not applied in your AdWords API call. Could
you include the missing parameters (e.g. NetworkSetting
)

before making the call? You may refer to this guide

 for
the sample code in setting up your parameters.

If there is still a discrepancy after applying the missing parameters, feel
free to write back with the complete SOAP request and response logs during
the service call via *Reply privately to author* so I could further
investigate.

Hi Matthew,

The lastChangeTimestamp

 will
only determine the date of last activity that was done on that account. It
will not, however, provide the timestamp of when a specific object was
changed. If you think that there should be no activity generated, could you
provide the screenshot in UI that shows the change history in your account

Re: I want to test google ads api. I don't know what to enter in "Configure request to API" on oauthplayground

2018-07-26 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

The step 3 in the OAuth2 Playground is not required as discussed in this
section of this guide
.
The main purpose of this step is to check if you have managed to establish
a connection to the AdWords server. Unfortunately, I could not provide a
documentation that discusses the step 3 of the OAuth2 Playground. Once you
have completed Step 2, you may now proceed to your client library and test
your connection by calling services in the API. You may refer to this guide

 on
how to make your first API call.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Re: SHOPPING_PERFORMANCE_REPORT suddenly returning ERROR_GETTING_RESPONSE_FROM_BACKEND

2018-07-25 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Christian,

Sometimes the pulling of report data fails when the report being pulled is
extremely large. The workaround solution you did is correct. It is advised
to lessen the data being retrieved by cutting down the date range to a
shorter timeline or you could also include more filters. You may read more
about timeouts in this guide
.

As for the changes that may have caused this, there are currently no known
issues on our side regarding this.

Re: TargetingIdeaService RateLimit Constantly Getting Hit

Hi Charles,

You should be able to determine if you still have standard access by
logging in to your MCC account in AdWords UI and navigate to *Settings >
AdWords API Center*. You should be able to see your access level from
there.

For your other issue, since you are using the TargetingIdeaService
,

you may note that this is a more expensive service to call as compared to
the other services of the AdWords API. The rate limits for this service are
significantly more strict than for other services that can be used for
managing campaigns. The rate limits can vary based on time of day, overall
volume of API usage by all users, and other factors. Our team does not
publish specific allowable QPS numbers to allow for this variance, and
instead use rate limit errors and require that integrations against the API
adhere to the timeouts as they encounter rate limit errors.

Re: TargetingIdeaService data freshness

2018-07-17 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Jonathan,

Could you try the same request in the UI's Keyword Planner to check if it
does return the same results? If it returns the same results, then I would
suggest that you open your concern to the Advertiser's Community Forum

as
the product experts are better equipped in answering your questions, since
the API only mirrors the capabilities of the UI.

However, if results are not the same, could you provide the screenshot of
the results in the UI and also in the API so I could investigate on this
further? You may do so by *Reply privately to author*.

2018-07-16 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Jonathan,

The TARGETED_MONTHLY_SEARCHES value in the
TargetingIdeaSelector.requestedAttributeTypes

 will
generate results only for the past 12 months, the current month not
included as stated in the link. As for the set date or custom date feature,
I'm afraid that this is not supported in the TargetingIdeaService. I am not
aware of any other APIs that can retrieve fresher data in the AdWords UI as
we only provide support for the AdWords API.

Re: Budget Order Service Operations via AdWords API Scripts

2018-07-13 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

Could you confirm if you are using the AdWords API
 or AdWords
Scripts ? In the AdWords
API, the BudgetOrderService

 is
the service available that manages budget order of accounts. This enables
approved manager accounts to programmatically create account-level budgets
for the client accounts they manage on consolidated billing
. This lets client
accounts charge spend to a manager's billing account. You can read more
about this and see code samples in this guide
. Do
take note that payment features are not supported in the API.

However, if you are using AdWords Scripts, you could open your concern to
the AdWords Scripts Forum
 as their team are
better equipped in addressing your concerns.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Re: API Response for Ad Group Targeting: Display Keywords

2018-07-13 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Tim,

If you want to get the Keywords in the ad group level, you could use the
AdGroupCriterionService.get()

 and
use the filter BiddableAdGroupCriterion.criterion

 to
"*KEYWORD*" to retrieve the results for Keywords. You may also refer to

Let me know if this works.

In your scenario, it is most likely that the OAuth2 credentials you are

Hi Sam,

The error BatchJobError.DISK_QUOTA_EXCEEDED
 is
encountered when you have reached the size limit for batch job operations
which is a total of 1GB. What you could do is check for the
diskUsageQuotaBalance

 which
will return the disk quota balance of the batch job's customer in KB. You
can check and cancel the batch jobs in the AWAITING_FILE or ACTIVE status
and retry the request or you could wait until the size of pending
operations falls below the limit before creating new jobs.

CategoryId is not returned by any service or reports of the AdWords API so
associating which categories your keywords belong to is currently not
supported. You could check out the list of products and services categories
in this link

.

Since CategoryId is not a field in the Keyword object, could you please
provide further details or screenshot where you are seeing a CategoryId in
your Keyword

 data,
aside from that being returned by the Keyword Ideas in TargetingIdeaService?

Re: Total Revenue of an AdGroup

Unfortunately, AdWords API does not have any metric for reporting revenues.

Re: Returning specific metrics per ad group

Hi Sean,

Unfortunately, you can only get the Cost by using reports. For your
concern, the ADGROUP_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

 seems
to be the most viable report type you can use. However, with regards to
setting your ad groups to PAUSED, you'll have to separately implement this
using the AdGroupService.mutate()

 to
SET the Status

.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi,

According to your logs, you are encountering the error
RequiredError.REQUIRED
,

which means that you have a missing entity that the service you are using
needs before it executes. Another error you are encountering is the
PRODUCT_PARTITION_SUBDIVISION_REQUIRES_OTHERS_CASE

 error
which is encountered when your subdivision does not have an "others" case.
Upon investigation of your code, after you have created your root
subdivision, you immediately added it on your BiddableAdGroupCriterion.
This is the reason you are encountering the error, you should associate
your ProductPartition *Root* to your "Other" case first before adding it in
your BiddableAdGroupCriterion.

Let me know how this goes.

Re: Limits issue: ProductPartitionTree .createAdGroupTree generates API request

2018-06-27 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

After creating your ProductPartition

 object,
you have to set this criterion to a BiddableAdGroupCriterion

 object.
After this, you need to add the BiddableAdGroupCriterion object to an
AdGroupCriterionOperation

 object.
Refer to the sample Java code below for reference.

 // Create AdGroupCriterionOperation.
ProductPartition rootPartition = new ProductPartition();
rootPartition.setPartitionType(ProductPartitionType.SUBDIVISION);

// Create BiddableAdGroupCriterion.
BiddableAdGroupCriterion biddableAdGroupCriterion = new
BiddableAdGroupCriterion();
biddableAdGroupCriterion.setAdGroupId(newAdGroupId);
biddableAdGroupCriterion.setCriterion(productPartition);

// Create AdGroupCriterionOperation.
AdGroupCriterionOperation operation = new
AdGroupCriterionOperation();
operation.setOperand(biddableAdGroupCriterion);
operation.setOperator(Operator.ADD);

// Add to list.
adGroupCriteriaOperations.add(operation);

You can follow the guide

 provided
(buildAdGroupCriterionOperations() method) on how to add adgroup criterion
to a BatchJobService.

Dannison

Re: Deleting "Removed" Entities

2018-06-26 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Sam,

Campaigns can have a total limit of 10,000 and the "REMOVED" entities do
not count in the account limit as stated in this guide
. The
error EntityCountLimitExceeded.ACCOUNT_LIMIT you are encountering could be
of many reasons. You could check this guide
 for the
possible reasons on why you are encountering this error. You would have to
clean up your account depending on each entity limit that you think might
have already exceeded.

Re: Limits issue: ProductPartitionTree .createAdGroupTree generates API request

2018-06-26 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

Unfortunately, we do not have an exact sample code on how to use Batch Job
Processing for Product Partition, however, you can pattern your code on
this example

 to
create your product partition tree. You can then specify a ProductPartition
root and your partition nodes as stated here

and
pass them to the AdGroupCriterionOperation

 before
ultimately passing it to the BatchJobService itself.

You may note that you can pass multiple operations and the BatchJobService
will handle all these operations in a single request.

Re: How to get the ads words client customer id using google client api ?

2018-06-25 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Soniya,

Could you confirm if you have already signed up for an AdWords account? If
not, you could follow our sign up
 guide and
can request for basic access by filling out and submitting this application
form . After submitting the
form, the AdWords Compliance Team should get in touch with you within 2
business days for the status of your developer token. Once you have an MCC
account, you can then create the client account under your MCC account
which will be the client customer ID that you will set in your PHP client
library.

You can then proceed on creating your OAuth2 Credentials
 using
the email address associated to your MCC account, or any email address
which has access to the said MCC. Once basic access has been approved, you
can proceed making your AdWords API calls
 against
production account.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Regarding your issue with using the batch job service to create your
ProductPartition trees, could you confirm if your batch operations are
taking too long and is not completing successfully? Currently the only way
to create partitions without having to pass multiple requests

through the usage of the BatchJobService.

Now, if you are encountering any issues or your batch operations are not

2018-06-21 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Jonathan,

Your speculations about why it does not return other demographic data are
correct. It is primarily because that Criteria Performance Report is a single
attribution

 report.
This means that, all statistics will be attributed to the criterion which
AdWords deems most relevant. I would recommend using other reports that
cater other demographics such as the Age Range Performance Report

 and Gender Performance Report

.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Re: Is there any way to get reports with unformatted data ?

2018-06-19 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

Unfortunately, AdWords API does not generate reports with fields according
to it's data type. The data type you see on the documentation will not
always reflect on the reports. Check this guide

for reference.

Let me know if you have any other concerns.

Regards,
Dannison

Re: ReportDownloadError.MISSING_PARAMETER reportdownload/v201806

2018-06-18 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

There is an ongoing discussion with the team related to this. In the mean
time, you could use the AWQL example

 temporarily.
We'll let you know if there are any updates on this.

Let me know how this goes when trying out the AWQL approach.

Re: An example of a simple report of a campaigns keyword performance?

2018-06-18 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Alexanders,

You may refer to our reporting guide
 on
how to construct your report. For your specific request, you could use the
KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

 and
set your fields with Impressions

, Ctr

 and Cost

 fields
and then you can set a filter for Campaigns with the desired CampaignId
.

You can check out other fields that are available for Keywords Performance
Report in the provided link.

You may refer to this guide

 for
downloading your report by changing the report type, filters, and fields to
cater your needs. These examples are also available in the different client
libraries.

Re: Finding Cost Per Click with API Reporting

2018-06-17 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Szusi,

In order to achieve this, you have to put a '*WHERE*' condition in your
AWQL statement to specify the filter for the value of AverageCpc. You may
check this guide

 for
an example of AWQL statements.

Hope this helps.
