haha. I never expected u guys to understand what I wanted to convey..
Btw, just to emphasize, VALI - (the lyricist is a master with
word-play.. though some may say Vairamuthu is better than Vaali..)
and I will be horrified with myself if this song isnt by Vali. LOL.

---indha VaiGaiyil VaithiduKai--

Vaigai is a river in Madurai.
here the heroine calls herself the Vaigai
and says Vai Kai - vai means place, kai means hand.

so place ur hand on this vaigai..

with words like this.
ARR has given many youth-oriented songs to Vali.

By Satyajit, Bollywood Trade News Network

A.R Rahman’s name has been synonymous with quality music for years and now it
refurbishes itself into soul awakening experience felt through the expressions
of trauma, pain and delight in Deepa Mehta’s WATER. The film is an emotional
musical offering that connotes the pain, pathos and joy of oppressed widow
traumatized by the taboo of cultural backwardness. It failed in Oscars by a
whisker but its soulful music has been phenomenal in grabbing attention from
esteemed “Grammy Awards” jury. Rahman preferred subtle beats and supple rhythms
in all the six original soundtracks that depict blend of sorrowful and joyful
expressions. Sukhwinder Singh rejuvenates his musical career as thoughtful
lyricist and sums up as one of the worthy prodigy of our generation with his
lively vocal performances. Sadhna Sargam scintillates magnificently in one of
her most immortal singing experience and adds impressively to the quality work
of the album. Despite all critical hullabaloos, the album’s
acceptance has restricted appeal to sensible and thoughtful listeners but
still adds to the special cadre of class musical entertainment.

The ambience of supreme ecstasy is bloomed to zenith as the somber titillating
beats sprinkles fresh whiff of air in poignantly enriched “Aayo Re Sakhi”.
Sukhwinder Singh’s throaty vocals brush up senses with soft enlightening folk
music that collages well with feminine vocal grace of Sadhna Sargam. Rahman’s
somber musical display generates an aura of natural divinity that can be felt
in eternal beauty of natural delights. The resonating effect of “Jhanan
Jhanan…” sounds analogous to the rhythm pattern of “Ghannan Ghannan” (LAGAAN)
but it comes with much decelerated musical flow. The soundtrack got itself in
the nomination for the “Best Original Song” along with Rahman’s earlier
composed “Luka Chuppi” (RANG DE BASANTI).

The suffocating feminine emotional outcry with feel of oppression and severance
gets the passage of expressive lyrical work in sentimentally touching “Piya
Ho”. Sadhna Sargam’s sluggish singing mode exemplifies the suffering and pathos
with traditionally resounding verses. Sukhwinder adds tinge of sensitivity in
the latter stages while the synchronized chorus catalyzes the oppressed feel.

“Naina Neer Bahai” carries the depressed journey with tearful impact as the
grim moments are rehashed in piously driven lyrical works. Sadhna Sargam’s
mournful singing epitomizes the significance of immortality of eternal love
felt in devotion of Lord Krishna. The spiritual healing felt through pristine
singing and expressive lyrics works progressively with soft and schmaltzy
musical work.

Spectrum of festively cheerful emotions welcomes the festival of colors in
boisterously pitched “Sham Rang Mei”. Folksy Richa Sharma throats out the
colorful decorum of festival with fine support of Raqueeb Alam and Surjo
Bhattacharya. It draws parallel lines from the feel of the album as it is the
only pompous soundtrack with ethnic touch.

Spiritualism spreads with the pious rendition of traditional Bhajan “Vaishnav
Janato” by Ajay Chakraborty and Kaushiki Chakraborty. This sanctimonious Ram
Bhajan has been one of favorites of Mahatma Gandhi and the film opens up in
pre-independence era. Its significance and rendition holds significance in
spiritual healing while its harmonious display gives situational feel to the
film.

Shy and demure sentiments of first love get traversed through playful and
mischievous acts in folksy blended “Bangri Marori”. It works intrinsically in
building up beautiful chemistry between introverted lovers. The eternal
divinity of the emotions can be felt through well versed traditional lyrical
verses and phrases. Sukhwinder Singh’s

Reel Talk: Tamil flop is hit in Telugu
The Suriya-Jyotika debacle Sillunnu Oru Kaadhal, which failed to run
even with the star couple's hyped wedding announcement, is a hit in
Telugu. Dubbed and released as Nuvve Nenu Prema, the film has also got
debutant director Krishna a number of offers in Tollywood. Happy with
the response in AP, Krishna said, Not only was the film promoted well
in Andhra, Suriya has a huge fan following there after the success of
Ghajini. Even Jyotika and Bhoomika are popular stars there, so the
film is doing well. Krishna added that talks are going on with a top
Telugu hero for a new film. He is also planning a film with Vishal,
and an action flick based on a true incident with new faces in Tamil.

hi all
i just wana say one thing

everyone of us has a best friend with whom we share even the most
secret things
and sometimes when we tell him the secrets, we also tell him not to
tell anyone else
but we forget that he might tell this thing to someone else whom he
considers his best friend
and hence the series goes on and on and that secret is not a secret
anymore

I am very much sure that the guy who works with rahman just let one
of his best friend listen a few beats (i do not think that it could
help piracy coz the way the beats were played did not provide any
stuff to download).

But by doing this he did not realize that this friend could tell
this to someone else as well. Now, i am pretty much sure that the
fella working with rahman must be regretting about what he did.

Also, it was not a very good thing to leak the music this way

I am strongly opposing your comment.

First main thing is, IR is not a relative for ARR. Second thing is,
ARR came up his own talent and credits. ARR doesnt know anybody in
the industry other than IR initially.

But GVP case is different, hes a close relative of ARR. do you know
how many GVPs are there without getting a chance.

GVP cant entered in this field without ARRs fame. Why shankar gave
him a chance, bcos he knows GVP thru ARR and additional thing is his
relative. and he worked anniyan etc..,

so basically hes a known guy to shankar due to ARR. Once shankar
utilised him in his movie, then others started using him.

i am not saying GVP is bad or something, hes doing good. we have to
wish him to grow bcos hes from our boss family.

but our concern is, he should express his inspiration in the
interview. i am once again saying hes here in the industry (200%)
definetly due to inspiration of ARR. he didnt expressed that in the
interview. that was our disappointment.

2007-03-04 Thread Thulasi Ram

yup... ARR is no way related to IR in musical terms except the fact that
both of them are musical directors. ARR's approach was 100% unique. he got
rid of some monotonic use of instruments that IR was constantly using
(according to me IT SUCKED BIG TIME i hate them).. ARR gave a new touch
even to village woven story and songs.. take for example uzhavan, karuthama,
kizhaku seemaiylae, tajmahal... ARR's touch in any album is just extra
ordinary and brilliant; and most importantly NOT like the previous ageMD's..

remember the filmfare's encomiums on ARR: Every music director in this age
is definitely a clone of ARR.
and not the viceversa..

so basically hes a known guy to shankar due to ARR.

This is utter nonsense. May be GVP wants everyone to know that he
is on his own and not because of his uncle.

Even ARR did not mention Ilayaraja's as his inspiration in his
interviews after Roja. So does that mean he doesn't respect IR?

 Stop this guys..

i just heard the GV prakash interview in indiaglitz.com website.

hes our boss sister (kanchana alias rehana) son.

rehana is the sister of our boss and still singing in his troops
and
 album as a chorus.

she composed one movie also called Machi of junior sivaji.

that GV prakash should get inspiration(200% sure) from our boss.
not
only him, most of the young directors will get inspiration from
our
 boss only.

hes not at all expressing that in the interview. its too bad.

even rahman introduced him as a singer in his childhood days
itself. he
(ARR) would be first inspiration for him.

but he never gave that respect to him.

big talented people will grow high only due to their simpleness
even
though they are very talented. rajini and ARR grown like that only.

but this guy too much yaar. he told that he worked with ARR for
one
 year. thats it.

i am totally disappointed. i agree his Veyyil movie music is
good.
he has talent. but only thing is, he should express his true
 inspiration in that interview.

 disappointed.
