If you specify the server correctly in your mid-tier report set up then I don't think you need to change this. I would make sure that your reports use the same datasource as the one defined on the crystal server. I don't use the default data source name as I use one BOXI server to serve up reports for several different Remedy servers. I create a system data source for each Remedy server. I use the default port for web reporting (80) so don't need to specify anything other than http://crystalserver in the BOXI report server location. A report (rpt file) is generated in folders beneath the reporting working directory on the crystal report server. Find out if this report is being created when you run your report. If it is have a look at it and make sure that it can be opened and run in crystal. Hi Joe , Thanks for the reply. Yes i installed crystal report server XI on the same machine where midtier and ARS is installed. Later i installed midtier as well and gave crystal report path during midtier installtion . I did all the configuration mentioned in Midtier PDF. But its not working .. Crystal reports will stop working after midtier is installed. Can i use 2 different versions of Tomcat on same server . Because crystal report uses Tomcat 5.0.27 and it installs tomcat while installing crystal report . I cant use this same tomcat server for midtier as it is not able to detect . so i installed one more Tomcat server 5.5 and did midtier installation. later after completion of midtier i did all configuration mentioned in pdf and found that i m not able to Launch crystal report ('Central Management Console'). Please suggest , if i installed crystal report on same server will it work . or should i installed midtier and crystal on two different server to avoid web server conflicts. Symantic Backup Exec Job failed on Remedy Server
Dear Team, I m facing one big issue , Please help me put in resolving this error. We have setup a backup for our remedy server using Sysmantic Backup Exec . But wen it tries to get back up it fails giving the below error. And Remedy Database is closing automatically. So everytime wen this backup runs our reemedy DB closes . Incoming Email
Hello, Can any one help me out in resolving the below error.When i tried sending emails from email client (outlook ) to Remedy System , i got the below error. Not able to see incoming messages in Email message form. How to submit and modify incidents/problems through email.
Dear All, I have one urgent requirement , i want to submit incidents or problem automatically when remedy server recieves emails. How do we configure this ? I want to submit incidents through normal email which is sent to the specified email account , i.e which is configured in remedy. I doesn't want to use any templates. Can this be done with out using templates. If yes Please let me know how do we start with this configuration.Can any one give me some idea which work flow to be wrritten . I have setup mailboxes for outgoing and incoming in remedy. Please let me know for further details . Please help me . Email configuration
Dear All, My requirement is whenever our customer sends an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] i need this to automatically store in Incident /Problem/Change form . once it is assigned our support person should be able to send emails through Remedy with latest work info, status etc... Emails which are sent by our support team should have Incident number, priority etc in email subject . Basically i want to integrate outlook with remedy , so that our support people should not go back to outlook to send emails. Please let me know if there are better ideas than which i have mentioned. Active Link Error
Dear All, I m trying to create an AL whose task is to throw error message when user tries to Save incident with out updating Work info. We are using ARS 7.0 and ITSM 7. The strabge thing is this AL is working only on my laptop for all users . When i try from other system this AL is not working , i mean they are able to save with out any error. How to restrict user logging into Remedy with same login from 2 different machines
Dear All, I found that in ARS 7 and ITSM 7 user can login into multiple machine at same time with same login credentials, only it restricts swhile saving by throwing a mesage stating Do you want to overwrite if we say yes it will accept . i want to restrict this , i dont want user to login into multiple machine , once he is login and some other person tries to login with same login he should not be able to login at all and should get message as User connected to othe rmachine .
