[slim] Tweaks to ExBrowse2 for better 800x600 display
I made a few ham handed tweaks to the ExBrowse2 skin, in order to improve support for 800x600 resolutions. Two items were tweaked: the lower portion of the "Browse Albums AZ, etc." nav bar above the contents of the left hand column are no longer partially hidden when this line breaks to two lines. And the main top nav area (server settings...etc) remains visible, and flows to two lines if neccessary regardless of the size of the left column frame. I've included the two touched files below. Just plop em in your ExBrowse2 folder (SlimServer\server\HTML\ExBrowse2)Be sure to keep a copy of your original files somewhere safe beforehand! y. +---+ |Filename: tweaks.zip | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=233| +---+ -- Yannzola ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Make sure you force a firmware upgrade by press-and-holding the brightness key. I upgraded to 6.1.1 to fix this issue and at first noticed nothing. I forced the FW upgrade & presto, it was fixed. In browse artwork, the pages are split up in an "arbitrary" size (i.e. in my case 50 items per page). If your library is not that huge, and you dont mind scan times you can forget about copying the db and just create or delete the shortcut at will and go into server settings, check "clear library contents" and click rescan. -kdf ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Nick: I have been looking for the same thing. My search found many kits, and many low-power devices. While I can build the kits, I have little time or desire and would prefer to purchase a 1/2 watt stereo capable unit (yea, I know that this does not meet Part 15 FCC limits, but the low-power units that comply do not have useable range, and they seem to be RF bandwidth limited and have poor frequency response). I am considering some user, professional FM modulators - the kind the CATV industry uses here in the US. I will let you know if I find some. However, just getting the library in a filtered list (by artist/genre) with something to quickly select bunch of songs to build playlists would be excellent in the current web frontend. * mirage62 shaped the electrons to say...
