Re: [Flashcoders] Searching all ActionScript in an FLA

2009-09-28 Thread Geografiek

Hi Chris,
Thanks.
I'm on CS4.
The line WARNING: Actions on button or MovieClip instances are not
supported in ActionScript 3.0. All scripts on object instances will
be ignored. appears as the first line in the output panel with no
clue as to where that code would reside.

The compile errors panel is blank.
The project includes some library items from an older project that
had actionscript attached to limelines, but I carefully stripped all
of it.
The warning seems not to have any consequences up to now. But it's
kind of gloomy you know. As if a problem might haunt me in the

basic ones like this, I would suggest trying the other list -

you a bit of a pointer...
You can unzip the as3corelib files anywhere you like. If you unzip in
the same location as your project / FLA file, then you should see a folder
called com in there - Flash will compile your movie okay because the
classpath automatically includes the folder the FLA is in.

If you put them somewhere else, you need to tell Flash where to look when
compiling - add to your classpath. Search for this in the Flash help
because there are 2 places you can set it (for each fla file and globally)

Hi,

That's pretty much what you need to do.

Look at the example on the page you linked to - you don't necessarily
want to output HTML, but would output a response of some kind, so strip
out the HTML and return success / error and maybe messages I think -
can't remember what FileReference upload is supposed to get back, sorry
- but you should be on the right lines if you hack up the output of
the script.

Lastly make sure your using the right version of php on your server. I

Look at the example on the page you linked to - you don't
necessarily want to output HTML, but would output a response of some
kind, so strip out the HTML and return success / error and maybe
messages I think - can't remember what FileReference upload is
supposed to get back, sorry - but you should be on the right lines
if you hack up the output of the script.

Hi,

This is really a bit of a newbie question, so if you have any more really
basic ones like this, I would suggest trying the other list -

you a bit of a pointer...
