Re: [JAWS-Users] Automatic Updates
Hi Donnie, Type the words windows update (without the quotes) in the start menu search box. Pressing the Windows key will give you the search box. The first result will likely be for Windows Update but if not use down arrow or up arrow key to find it. Press enter on the choice. In the resulting window use tab key to find the link for changing settings and press enter key. You should be given the dialog box for adjusting your settings. Take care. Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws 12/will not stay on highlighted text
Hi Joanne I had a similar problem and after many experiments my son visited me and he found that the resolution setting in the control panel under display settings was to high. I thought the higher the better but he set it at 47% which was good for sighted people and my problem was solved. Just try insert-s, it toggles between say all, none and highlighted. - Original Message - From: Joanne countrymom...@embarqmail.com To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Saturday, July 02, 2011 4:13 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] jaws 12/will not stay on highlighted text I thought I had it set to highlighted text using insert vs., but if I move from window to another it goes back to all. [JAWS-Users] An outlook 2007 question, and I think it is a jaws issue.
Hi All, I am running windows 7 on this computer with outlook 2007, and jaws 12 on a 64 bit machine. I have several folders in outlook, and I have them off of my In Box. When I want to read a message in one of these folders, the message won't read when I enter the folder. It will read, if I tab over to, it, but it doesn't land on the message when I open the folder. If I hit control Y and go to that folder, it will open and read the messages. The Reading pain is set to off. So, I have my In Box, and then, all the folders I have created after that, and if I go directly to one of those folders without hitting control Y first, the messages will not read when I hit enter on that folder. They only read if I hit control Y first. Why can't I just go to a folder, hit enter, and see the list of messages? Try pressing space when you land on the folder name. Re: [JAWS-Users] the audio page
David, Thanks, never knew Gold Wave did this. Back in the day when I put my collection on my hard drive I was using Nero but this sounds a bit more JAWS friendly. If I find myself needing to do any ripping I'll give it a try Al -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com]On Behalf Of David Ferrin Sent: Wednesday, June 29, 2011 1:07 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] the audio page I just posted a short tutorial on ripping a CD with Gold Wave. It's not too long, just under 6 minutes. For some reason my tutorials just don't seem to take long at all as I feel they cover the material while at the same time make you the listener think a little. There are some longer recordings up there only because there was a lot more to cover, enjoy for those who are interested. Re: [JAWS-Users] Thunderbird 5.0
The current version of thunderbird is 5.0. Jaws12 work fairly well with the last version, but when you want to write an e-mail or to reply, jaws doesn't recognize the editing workspace and you have no control over the text you write.
