Other than beta versions, I always download Winamp directly from Winamp.com
and have NEVER had a problem doing so. Works fine with JAWS.

Genuine Patch for Winamp

2007-05-07 Thread Steve Pattison
I know that some people on the list are a bit concerned that the
patch for Winamp 5.34 might not be endorsed by Nullsoft. Well if you
are concerned you can download the patch from the link provided by
Nullsoft at
http://download.nullsoft.com/winamp/client/wa5update.exe. I hope
this helps to remove any concerns people have about the authenticity
of the patch. There are also lots of links on Google about this
patch. Just search for the words Winamp 5.34 patch in Google or similar words.

information bar will open presenting you with a button to allow or

To download the patch once you are at the link I have mentioned
previously you need to activate a link called "download Now" to

Internet streams sound better. The only place you can find it now is on
ACBradio.org's becoming a DJ section. It is still around, but it was
integrated into a plugin that does way more stuff and is more advanced.

Try googling "audiostocker". No space between audio and stocker.

RE: Patch for Winamp 5.34

2007-05-07 Thread Tim Emmons
If it's giving you hat chirp, do an alt with the letter N and the
information bar will open presenting you with a button to allow or
temporarily allow popups from that sight, or give you iptions for
downloading the winamp patch. Try that and see if it helps. Thanks.

Yeah, I tried that and it doesn't seem to open up; I have sp2 and it is
giving one of those chirps, when I try entering on that link! I may have to
have my sighted guru look at what is happening!

Thanks for trying to help, Steve!

To download the patch once you are at the link I have mentioned
previously you need to activate a link called "download Now" to
download the patch. I'm not sure if the patch is necessary if you
don't listen to MP4 files but I always like to install security
patches for any programs installed on my computer.

Re: Juice won't Open

2007-05-07 Thread John Price
Hello,
I wonder how are you trying to start up Juice?
I myself, I start it up from my start menue.
I hit the letter j until I hear Jaws say, "Juice, J" I hit the letter J
again, and it's open.
The problem may be the way you have Juice sat up, I say that because Juice
is sometimes a tricky program to master.
But I hope these little tips helps.
Good luck.

2007-05-07 Thread Mac Norins
Yeah, I tried that and it doesn't seem to open up; I have sp2 and it is
giving one of those chirps, when I try entering on that link! I may have to
have my sighted guru look at what is happening!

Thanks for trying to help, Steve!

To download the patch once you are at the link I have mentioned
previously you need to activate a link called "download Now" to
download the patch. I'm not sure if the patch is necessary if you
don't listen to MP4 files but I always like to install security
patches for any programs installed on my computer.

Well, I have tried this link, a number of times and it never quite gets to
the patch! Does one have to log into Betanews, to make this work? I really
am stumped on this! Is this patch necessary, if one doesn't use MP4 files
on their computer?

Thanks,

Hi Larry,

One place where you can find this patch is at
http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Winamp_5_Security_Patch/1066336873/4.
The patch is 56kb in size. It is an .EXE file and when you run it it
will detect your Winamp directory and install itself in the right
place. Just follow the prompts the patch gives you when you install it.
