I ran across this article: http://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/maybe-be-careful-with-osx-sierra The short form is that if you have multiple desktop devices and try to synchronize them, bad things might happen. Re: Demand letter from Getty for use of image
Well, yes, except it's still fraud to threaten someone with a copyright infringement action, when a you don't own the copyright, and don't actually represent the owner of the copyright, and even worse when said image is in the public domain and you cannot own the copyright. Which Getty has been caught doing. Which was what John and I were discussing. For the earlier part of the thread your statement is indeed correct, unless Getty is claiming copyright on something they don't own. You should have replied to an earlier post to avoid confusion. One trick that a lot of people do is to use a two part password. Have one strong password that you can remember, for example @vo6022 then have something based on the domain, maybe the first letters of the domain and extension with a character between them, pdml.net could become p*n So, your password for pdml.net would be @vo6022p*n and your password for wellsfargo would be @vo6022w*c Someone who gets your password for multiple sites would be able to figure it out, but if someone gets your password on yahoo, they wouldn't then be successful if their script tried the same account and password on google. -- Larry Colen l...@red4est.com (postbox on min4est) http://red4est.com/lrc -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

Windows 10 Anniversary and DNG files
After this week's anniversary update of my Windows 10 installation I now discover that DNG files are thumbnailed in the Windows Explorer and can also be viewed by Windows Photo Gallery. This is much easier than having first to open Lightroom or FS viewer. Is this what they call groundbreaking technical progress or did I miss something?
