PB 145 manual/serial port connector
Okay guys ... I need a *users manual* for a PB 145 and -- if there is someone out there that knows what I'm talking about: I have an old GV teleport 33.6 speakerphone that I'd like to connect up to my 145 -- but (damn!) I just got a PB 145 (Model #M5409) that I intended to use for music composition/arranging, etc., but I don't have a battery pack or owners manual. It works fine for some little games that are on the thing, but I'm afraid it doesn't have enough memory capacity for the MusicTime and Finale programs that I use in my composing, etc., plus it only has a port for *floppy disks* and most all of my stuff is on CD-rom. I don't believe it's equiped for going on-line. Do you have a PB that takes CDs - and has both a printer and phone port to trade? SCSI addresses scheme?
I just acquired two hard drives that use jumpers for the SCSI address. It's been years since I set one up and I can't find the code scheme for addressing the units. PB pram battery charging?
An exhaustive search of the web turns up the info that the 6 volt double-disk lithium battery set probably can be re-charged. The coin-sized rig has three twisted wires (white, black, red) that plug into the mother board. Does anyone have an idea of how to charge this? I have a multi-purpose charging rig that handles batteries from wafers to 9volt. I could connect the lithium set with aligator clips to the positive and negative (red and black, I should imagine). A new set runs over $50 from a supplier, so I figure I don't have much to lose by trying this. Once charged, the lithium is supposed to last for years. using PB 280 battery charger
Would someone please tell me how to set the battery (Model # M7782) sliding switch to operate and to charge? There is a white symbol outline of a battery in one mode and what looks to be a half-greyed out symbol in the other. I would assume the latter is the mode for charging, but I don't want to make a mistake. I cannot find this information in the PB 280 User Guide I downloaded. I bought a used charger-AC adaptor via eBay. It doesn't power up the 280, connected, when I push what looks to be the power buttom on the back, but the charging light does glow when I insert the battery into the charging slot. (The PB works perfectly when inserted into the dock) I find the User Manual available in PDF form on the web leaves much to be desired, as if they expect everyone to have the original manual. PB 280 pram battery
